I've been jamming with a young man named Donnie Scott.  We recorded a jingle for a local radio station, and have gotten to know one another a bit.  He's an incredible guitarist, and a truly a nice guy.  Between his job in a hospital laboratory, his wife and three kids, and going back to school, the man is strapped for time.  On the other hand... damn... the guy's GOOD.  I need to find some paying gigs so that we can play together.  Perhaps we could add a drummer and go out as a three-piece blues power trio?

I'm thinking that it may be time to start looking for a new permanent guitarist.

First, we have some songs to demo, and working out the guitar arrangements is critical to performing these songs, let alone recording them.

Second, we're going to have to make a permanent replacement in the next couple of months, anyway.  Doing it now will give us that much more time to get to know each other.

Anybody know a blues guitarist who's not committed elsewhere?

My good friend and favorite web designer, Janus Orr, has spent the last few days making all of the forms pages on this site work properly.  Its something that we'd been needing to pay attention to for way too long.

Go Janus.

Also, lemme throw in a plug for a great web-slinger who won't rape and pillage your wallet for helping your site work better.  Contact her at:

Its a bad-news, good news day.

First, the bad news.

I just got an e-mail from Joe Ferraro.  Joe has been a friend for a long time, and is one of the founders of California's High Desert Blues Society.  He's also a hell of a fine guitarist - as evidenced by the tasty guitar work he exhibited on our first album.

We had invited him to play on our new recording project.  In today's e-mail he sent his regrets...a conflict has come up.  We're sorry that he won't be joining us.

Now, the good news.

Scott "Big" Johnson, percussionist extraordinaire has told us that he's re-arranging his schedule to re-join Naughty Uncle Norman for our third album.  Scott has performed on every N.U.N. album so far.  We're delighted that he'll be part of this new project, too.
